Khalid Al Midfa crowns the champions of the second phase of the Emirates Jetski Marathon in Sharjah

His Excellency Khalid Jassim Al Midfa, Chairman of the Sharjah International Marine Sports Club, crowned the champions and stars of the second round of the Emirates Jet Ski Marathon, which was organized by the club yesterday afternoon (Saturday) at Al Heera Beach in the new Sharjah Corniche, in cooperation with the Emirates Marine Sports Federation, and with the support of the Sharjah Sports Council.

The jetski marathon, whose engines resonated and revived marine competitions and races after an absence due to the “Covid 19” pandemic, which disrupted life and was behind the suspension of marine activities worldwide in anticipation and caution, and in compliance with the official precautionary measures imposed by the country and imposed by the world due to the pandemic. Enthusiasm and excitement from the participants, whose number exceeded about 30 cyclists, who represented the stars of water cycling sport at the state level, citizens and residents who participated in three categories, and their results were as follows:

– In the “Seated Veteran” category that was crowned by Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, followed by the contestant Younis Al Awadi, then Nasser Al Hammadi.

– And in the professional standing category: cyclist Omar Abdullah Rashid Al-Rashed came in first place, followed by contestant Rashid Mubarak Al-Qamzi, then Abdullah Abu Bakr Abdullah in third place.

– In the professional seated category, which witnessed the participation of 19 cyclists, it resulted in Salman Yunus Al-Awadi winning first place, followed by Rashid Suhail Al-Tayer in second place, then Ali Muhammad Yusuf in third place.

His Excellency Khalid Jassim Al Midfa, Chairman of the Sharjah International Marine Sports Club, Hassan Al Zaabi, Mohammed Al Kamali, members of the club’s board of directors, Ahmed Al Hosani, Executive Director of the club, and Salem Al Rumaithi, Executive Director of the Abu Dhabi International Marine Sports Club witnessed the marathon competitions and participated in the coronation of its champions.

In conclusion, Khalid Al Midfa was keen to congratulate all the winners and praised the enthusiasm of the participants, as well as thanked the organizers, and said that despite the long period of suspension due to the pandemic, all the participants performed distinguished, and their return to activity caused great joy for everyone.

Al Midfa hoped that the coming period would witness a gradual return of all marine activities so that life would return to its normal and customary form for the beaches of Sharjah, which eagerly await a gradual return to marine activity of all kinds and specialties, while taking all precautionary methods that guarantee the safety of everyone.

Khalid Jassim Al Midfa was keen to praise the efforts of the Sharjah Sports Council, which provides all support for all sporting activities at the emirate level.
