HE Ali bin Salem Al Midfa, Chairman of the Sharjah International Marine Sports Club and Deputy Chairman of the Sharjah Sports Council, praised the results of the club’s team during its recent participation in the UAE International Jetski Championship that took place in the capital Abu Dhabi, considering that the victory of Amer Huwair was at the top of the GP3 category. The team is doing well and possesses the technical capabilities to achieve the best results locally and internationally.
Al Midfa confirmed that the club will continue its great support for all competitors who represent the emirate in all international and local events. It is worth noting that the Jet Ski team representing Sharjah International Marine Sports Club participated in the second round of the UAE International Jet Ski Championship that was organized by the UAE Marine Sports Federation in Abu Dhabi with a team included 5 competitors: Amer Huwair, first place winner in the GP3 category, Abdul Jalil Al Awadi, second place holder in the Freestyle category, and each of Khaled Al Zarouni, Manea Habib Al Marzooqi and Marcus. The team was supervised by Ahmed Al Hosani, the executive director of the club during the participation In the event.
The second round of the UAE Jet Ski Championship was held on the beach of Al Hudayriat Island in Abu Dhabi, with the participation of 82 jetski players. The number of participating nationalities reached nine, which were the UAE, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Lebanon, Morocco, France, UK and Hungary, and the tour witnessed a large audience of more than three thousand spectators.
Sharjah is scheduled to host the third and final round during the month of April, and the club will soon determine the proposed venue for the event, and it is worth noting that Dubai hosted the first round of the tournament, Abu Dhabi hosted the second round, provided that the conclusion of the event will be held in Sharjah during the month of April.
