Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Sharjah Media Council, and Sheikh Saqr bin Muhammad bin Khalid Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Sharjah Sports Council, crowned the winners in the fishing competition organized by the Sharjah International Marine Sports Club in cooperation with the Environment and Protected Areas Authority in Sharjah, within the activities of the festival. HE Ali bin Salem Al Midfa, Chairman of the Sharjah International Marine Sports Club, and Khalid bin Jassim Al Midfa, Vice chairman of Sharjah International Marine Sports Club, participated in the ceremony honoring and crowning the champions of the first places in the festival, and Hana Saif Al Suwaidi.

23 boats participated in the fishing competition for which financial prizes and were allocated. The competitions took place from six in the morning and continued until two in the afternoon, during which the participants caught 521 kilograms of various types of fish. The boat “Diver 1” led by fisherman Khaled Issa Abbas won first place, followed in second place by “Jamal” under the leadership of Salem Musabbah Al Falasi, and “Al Shaqi” led by Hamad Abdul Hamid, then “Blowing Wind” led by Hassan Youssef Saadan, and fifth for “Razeq” Led by Ammar Hashem Al-Houti, the sixth “Al-Shaqi 2” led by Saif Muhammad Al-Huraiz, and the seventh “Al-Baz” led by Rashid Al-Marzouqi, and in the eighth place came “Yezaf” led by Ahmed Abed Thani, and the ninth “The Stubborn Al-Ahmar” led by Abdullah Hamid Al-Shamsi, and in the tenth place came The “famous” is led by Omar Abdel Aziz Al Hammadi.

The Sharjah International Marine Sports Club monitored distinguished prizes for the winners, and the first place holder got 15 thousand dirhams, the second 12 thousand dirhams, the third 10 thousand dirhams, the fourth 8 thousand dirhams, the fifth 6 thousand, the sixth 5 thousand, and the seventh to the tenth 4 thousand dirhams each A boat, in addition to 3 thousand dirhams, is awarded to the winner to catch the largest fish, and a prize of 2000 dirhams was allocated for the best video recording of the festival’s activities, and the prize for catching the largest fish went to Salem Musabbah Al Falasi
