The East Coast Festival was concluded in the city of Kalba, which was organized over a period of 3 days by the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, in cooperation with the Sharjah International Marine Sports Club, and included many activities that contributed to attracting thousands of people from the East Coast in Kalba, and the club also organized a fishing competition which witnessed the wide participation of the most famous fishermen, and resulted in the fishing of a large sum of names exceeding 2000 kg.
Mohammed Rashid Al Zaabi won the prize for the largest fish weighing 89.50 kg, and succeeded in winning the largest prize money in the event, which amounted to 50 thousand dirhams, and Sultan Fahd Al-Tunaiji won in the tuna category with a prize of 20 thousand dirhams, after he achieved weighing 283.50 kg, and in the kingfish category, Hassan Ghanem Al-Kaabi came first with a weight of 30.70 kg.
Members of the Board of Directors of the Sharjah International Marine Sports Club, Hassan Al Zaabi and Abdullah Al Salami, as well as Ahmed Al Hosani, Executive Director of the club, and by the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry Khalil Muhammad Al Mansoori, Director of the Department of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Branch in Kalba, and representatives of the cooperating parties participated in honoring the winners.
Ahmed Al Hosani was keen to convey the greetings of HE Ali bin Salem Al Midfa, Chairman of the Club’s Board of Directors, to officials of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry for the efforts exerted behind the achievement of the East Coast Festival, wishing for more cooperation that would contribute to highlighting the capabilities of the marine coasts in Sharjah, and Khalil Muhammad Al Mansouri directed Thanks to Sharjah International Marine Sports Club for the efforts made that led to the festival’s success and its honorable release
