The first major summer marine camp in Dibba Al-Hisn was concluded successfully, which was organized by the Sharjah International Marine Sports Club on the occasion of the summer school vacation for a whole week, which witnessed wide participation by all target age groups and was held in the style of the multiple marine camps organized by the club during the summer and spring vacations every year. The club’s management organized an honoring ceremony in the presence of a number of members of the club’s board of directors, Hassan Al Zaabi and Abdullah Al Salami, along with the club’s executive director, Ahmed Al Hosani, during which the distinguished who participated in the camp were honored.
The camp was held under the slogan “Live the Life of the Sea” in cooperation with the Sharjah Sports Council, and witnessed a wide participation of students from the city of Dibba Al-Hisn and the surrounding places who wish to practice all kinds of marine sports during the summer school vacation. The Board of Directors of the Sharjah International Marine Sports Club monitored a set of constructive goals that it seeks to achieve through the organization of Dibba Al-Hisn Camp, and the next camp to be held on the Al-Khan Corniche in Sharjah from 10 to 16 July.
Ahmed Al Hosani, Executive Director of the Sharjah Maritime Club, who supervises the establishment of events, praised the great success of the camp and the remarkable turnout that the camp witnessed, noting that the diversity of the camp’s activities contributed to the demand of school students who love marine sports such as rowing, jet-skiing, diving and fishing in addition to beach sports such as volleyball and soap ball. He said: “The camp aims to enhance the social role of the club, provide opportunities for practicing recreational marine sports, spread the spirit of loyalty and belonging to the homeland among children, youngsters and young people through the practice of marine activities, and contribute to discovering the talents of children and youth, developing their performance and investing leisure time during the summer vacation”.
