Hassan Al Zaabi, member of the Board of Directors of the Sharjah International Marine Sports Club, announced that the club, under the direction of His Excellency Ali Salem Al Midfa, Chairman of the Club’s Board of Directors, is working to provide all means to support and succeed in the East Coast Festival of the Marine Environment in Kalba City. Al-Zaabi explained, in a special statement to “Sharjah 24”, that the club’s participation in the festival organized by the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, during the period from 6-8 next February, consists in organizing several competitions, including a competition for kingfish and tuna fishing, pointing to the allocation of a big prize of 50 thousand dirhams for the winner of the competition to catch the biggest tuna fish.
Al Zaabi added that the third edition of the festival, which is hosted by the city of Kalba, includes a marine exhibition under the supervision of the club, in addition to a competition for ground rowing. A member of the Board of Directors of the Sharjah International Marine Sports Club expressed his thanks and appreciation for the efforts of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry and all partners, in organizing the festival, which promotes and consolidates the maritime heritage, and represents an important addition to the national economy.
