HE Khalid Jassim Al Midfa, President of the Sharjah International Marine Sports Club, praised the distinguished results of the club’s sons in the first round of the UAE Jet Ski Championship that took place in Al Hudayriat waters in the capital, Abu Dhabi, with great participation and under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Khalifa Al Nahyan, advisor to His Highness the President of the State Chairman of the Abu Dhabi International Club.

Al Midfa considered the good results achieved by the club players with the gradual return to activity and with the launch of the tournament promising, as it is expected that the club’s players will achieve more distinguished results in the next stages of the tournament.

The players had achieved a set of distinguished results in the tournament that came back after an absence due to the “COVID-19” pandemic, on which they took the podiums again, where Sultan Al Hammadi achieved first place in the category of Standing PG2, and achieved second place in the category of standing GP1, while Amer Huwair won the first place in the National Seated GP3 category, and Manea Al Marzouqi achieved the second place in the Seated GP2  category, and the third place in the Seated Professionals GP1  category.

A technical error caused the contestant, Khaled Al Zarouni, to be disqualified after he was at the top of the GP3 category, and for the same reason, Majid Al Marzouqi also came out.

A group of 35 players, citizens and residents of the country, participated in the first phase of the UAE Jet Ski Championship in the capital, Abu Dhabi.

On the other hand, Sharjah International Marine Sports Club continues its preparations to host and organize the first jetski water marathon, which is scheduled to take place next Saturday, and which is expected to witness a wide participation of citizen riders from representatives of clubs and professionals residing in the country.
