The Board of Directors of the Sharjah International Marine Sports Club held its first meeting after its formation, headed by Khalid Jassim Al Midfa, and in the presence of all members of the new board of directors, whose term was set for the next four years, subject to renewal.
The first meeting of the Board of Directors witnessed the presence of Issa Hilal Al Hazami, Chairman of the Sharjah Sports Council, who was keen during his presence to convey the congratulations of the wise leadership in the emirate to the president and members of the new council, confirming the confidence of the Sharjah Sports Council in the capabilities of the new formation of the board and their ability to achieve the desired goals, especially that all the members are of specialization holders, and they have been carefully selected to contribute to achieving the aspirations of the new board of directors in particular, and oriental sports in general.
Hilal thanked the former board of directors headed by HE Ali bin Salem Al Midfa, who succeeded in his mission and was able during the past six years to achieve many achievements that contributed to highlighting the potential and capabilities of the emirate in the field of marine sports, and also contributed to promoting the emirate commercially. As a tourist, through international events that the club has succeeded in organizing in many of the distinguished marine sites that the emirate abounds in in many of its cities.
For his part, HE Khalid Al Midfa was keen at the beginning of the meeting to extend his sincere thanks to His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council, Ruler of Sharjah, and His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, and to His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, for the precious confidence accorded to the members of the new club’s board of directors, and promised to make effort, along with his colleagues, to achieve all the desired goals.
He also thanked HE Essa Hilal Al Hazami, Chairman of the Sharjah Sports Council, for his attendance at the meeting and his continuous support for the club.
On the other hand, the first meeting of the Board of Directors included distributing the administrative tasks and portfolios by mutual consent among the members, so the task of the Vice Chairman of the Board was assigned to Ahmed Al-Qaseer, who was also assigned the task of chairing the Marketing and Investment Committee, while the Financial and Administrative Affairs Committee was assigned to the Chairman of the Board of Directors Khalid Al Midfa, and he will chair Hamid Al-Kindi, the Committee for Strategic Planning and Institutional Excellence, and the Cultural and Community Activities Committee assigned to the member Hayat Al Ali, while Fahd Al Khumairi chaired the presidency of the Licensing and Safety Committee, and Mohammad Al Kamali chaired the Communication and Digital Media Committee. The task of supervising the Khorfakkan and Kalba training centers was assigned to Hassan Al Zaabi, the task of supervising the Sharjah and Al Hamriya training centers to Hamid Al Muhairi, and the task of supervising the Dibba Al Hisn training center to Abdullah Al Salami.
