The Board of Directors of the Sharjah International Marine Sports Club held its second meeting chaired by Khalid bin Jassim Al Midfa, Chairman of the Board of Directors and in the presence of all members of the Board, and the Council reviewed many important matters related to the activity of the next phase and all the arrangements and precautionary measures that ensure the safety of all participants and all technical and administrative bodies cooperating as required by circumstances during the current Covid-19 pandemic.
The council discussed arrangements for establishing a fishing training center in Sharjah, which will contribute to meeting the desires of fans of this sport, and its activity will be a new addition to the various heritage and modern sports that the club is keen to take care of and develop such as rowing and sailing. The board also discussed some financial and administrative reports and the latest developments in work in the various committees.
They also approved the formation of working committees, as Ahmed Al-Qaseer, Vice Chairman of the Club’s Board of Directors, was assigned the task of chairing the Marketing and Investment Committee, while the Financial and Administrative Affairs Committee was assigned to the Chairman of the Board of Directors Khalid Al Midfa, while Hamid Al Kindi will take over the Strategic Planning and Institutional Excellence Committee, and the Cultural and Community Activities Committee headed by Hayat Al Ali, while Fahad Al Khumairi takes over the presidency of the Licensing and Safety Committee, the Communication and Digital Media Committee went to Mohammed Al Kamali, the Heritage Marine Sports and Fishing Committee headed by Abdullah Al Salami, the Sailing and Modern Rowing Committee headed by Hamid Al Muhairi, and the Jet Ski, Boats and Motor Sports Committee headed by Hassan Zaabi.
