Sharjah International Marine Sports Club participated in the coordination meeting called by Sharjah Police, with a number of official bodies in the emirate; With the aim of regulating the practice and control a number of marine sports practiced at the level of the emirate; In order to ensure the safety of all its practitioners, and with the aim of establishing special mechanisms and standards; to practice these sports, especially jetski sport.
The meeting was held in the hospitality of the Al Buhaira Police Station in Sharjah, in the presence of representatives of different government agencies, led by the Sharjah Police, represented by: Colonel Yusef Obaid Harmoul, Director of the Comprehensive Centers Department, Lieutenant Colonel Abdullah Salem Al Naqbi, Acting Head of Al Buhaira Comprehensive Police Station, and Lt. criminal investigation, and Captain Hamid Al-Russian from the Cases Follow-up Department, in the presence of Ahmed Al Hosani, Executive Director of the Sharjah International Marine Sports Club, along with Ibrahim Al Hammadi, Jamal Abdullah from Sharjah Municipality, and Rashid Al Hosani, Deputy Head of the Supervision Department at the Sharjah Economic Development Department.
The meeting discussed all the organizational means that guarantee the safety of all marine sports practitioners in the emirate, with the need to organize monitoring and inspection campaigns, to ensure that these activities are practiced safely in the designated places.
It is noteworthy that the Executive Director of Sharjah International Marine Sports Club, Ahmed Al Hosani, indicated that the club’s board of directors is working on preparing a complete law that regulates all marine sports, and it will soon be presented to the legal department of the government of Sharjah, to be presented to the Executive Council of the Government of Sharjah.
