The board of directors of the Sharjah International Marine Sports Club held its first meeting for the year 2021 remotely under the chairmanship of HE Khalid Jassim Al Midfa, Chairman of the Board of Directors, and in the presence of all members, during which many important issues related to the club’s activity during the coming period were discussed and approved.

The Council reviewed the agenda and approved some of its items, including the presentation and approval of the financial report of the Financial and Administrative Affairs Committee and the media report of the Communication and Digital Media Committee.

The Club’s Strategy and Institutional Excellence Committee also presented a summary of the results of the benchmarking, after visits by the committee to clubs that won excellence awards, including the Al Hamriyah Cultural and Sports Club, Sharjah Self-Defense Sports Club and Sharjah Cultural and Sports Club, in order to learn about the best practices and activate them in the club.

The Cultural Activities and Community Sports Committee presented the proposal for virtual programs that target all segments of society, to be activated during the coming period, in light of the COVID 19 pandemic that the world witnessed over the past year and led to the cancellation of most of the activities on the ground.

All sports committees, such as the Powerboat, Jet Ski and Motor Sports Committee, Sailing and Modern Rowing Committee, and the Fishing and Heritage Marine Sports Committee, touched upon the proposed event plan for 2021, which diversified to include various types of marine sports
