Sharjah International Marine Sports Club held the regular meeting of the club’s board of directors, on Tuesday, headed by HE Khalid Jassim Al Midfa, Chairman of the Council, at the headquarters of the Sharjah Research, Technology and Innovation Park in the presence of all members of the Board of Directors to discuss many topics, the most important was the financial reports for the year 2020, and the adoption of the proposed budget for 2021.
The Board of Directors decided to approve the organization of a number of community events within the framework of the club’s performance of its sporting and community tasks, with the need to adhere to all precautionary measures that ensure the safety of all participants and organizers from the pandemic of the COVID 19 virus.
In this context, the Council called for the necessity to organize a number of heritage marine sport events, such as traditional rowing and sailing, and it was agreed to participate in the activities of the upcoming Sharjah Heritage Days.
It was also decided to participate in the Happiness Day event, and to participate in the “Five by Five” event. It was also decided to participate in the second virtual session for women, which is organized in cooperation with the Environment and Protected Areas Authority in Sharjah on marine culture.
The council touched upon a number of monthly reports on all the activities of the working committees in the club, including the media report.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the Chairman of the Board of Directors was keen to commend the effort of all members of the Board and the excellence of all the committees working in the club, and he called for preparation for the next stage, which is the post-COVID 19 stage during which the club is scheduled to return to practice all its usual activities with all its energy.
