The Board of Directors of the Sharjah International Marine Sports Club held its regular meeting, Tuesday, under the chairmanship of Khalid Jassim Al Midfa, Chairman of the Club’s Board of Directors, and in the presence of all members Ahmed Obaid Al Qaseer, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors, Hassan Mohammad Ali Al Zaabi, Hamid Khalfan Saeed Al Kindi, Hamid Ali Hamid Al Muhairi, Hayat Mal Allah Matar Al Ali, Abdullah Saeed Al Salami, Fahd Ahmed Abdullah Al Khumairi, Mohammad Ahmad Al Kamali, and each of Ahmed Al Hosani, Executive Director of the club, and Dr. Muhammad Abdul Azim, the club’s planning and institutional excellence advisor.

Al Midfa affirmed his great confidence in the success of the mission of the members of the Council, and in their ability to achieve all the desired goals that benefit the name and position of the club and its previous successes, which are commensurate with the size of the ambition set by the Sharjah Sports Council.
The meeting discussed many important topics related to the programs of the next phase, including the discussion of the club’s financial report, and the most important recommendations and proposals issued in the meetings of the various committees, including the preparation for launching the marketing and media identity of the club, and the need to conduct a detailed study on the size of the readiness of the beaches scheduled to host all Marine events from the festivals and races this season, discussing all the details related to the formation of the Sharjah Diving Team and the desired goals of establishing the team.

The council also reviewed areas of good preparation for organizing a fishing competition with a review of the appropriate places to organize this tournament, in addition to the preparations of the Boats and Jet Ski Committee for the upcoming participations and the size of the readiness, and the discussion of the development of the marine Olympic Games. Al Midfa also reviewed all the requirements for the club to obtain an “ISO” certificate, and envisioned the club’s upcoming participation in the Flag Day celebrations.
The club’s board of directors also discussed the perception of the club’s strategic plan, the results of the gap analysis, and ways to reach the desired goals, which were presented to the board by members of the Strategy Committee, Ahmed Al Hasani and Abdullah Al Suwaidi.
